I'll just give you a brief history of things here. I was born in the sea to a family of sirens and we are like a mixture of fish and bird to make it as simple to understand as possible.

One day, the sea was cleansed and I should have died with my family but I kind of tricked one of the reapers sent to collect and became one myself.

As a reaper I have to collect those who have come to their end. I'm kind of drawn to those who are about to lose their lives.

Depressing, I guess, huh?

I give them to the hounds to bring to the underworld. I don't go there myself.

As a siren, I can lure and allure people with different things I do to my voice. I'm really handy in water and like I mentioned before the wings and claws.

They basically sent this being to collect us would probably be the nicer way of putting it. I only survived because of the deal I made. I had a pretty big family and I miss them everyday. You would have liked them I bet.

really? you're probably right and i probably knew that, but it was easier to think otherwise. i guess i want to think i have some allies, but in terms of that realm and the palace and the crown and everything, i might be going it alone.

you know? It isn't always so bad. It could be far worse. I've seen some of the tasks others have and mine are tame in comparison.

that's bad too! i mean, sorry, that didn't come out right. it's bad enough if you're suffering as much as you are. no one should suffer that much, much less more. that should change.

you're right. i think i just get scared of letting them have too much influence over me, so i try to pretend they don't impact me as much. or maybe my brain does the pretending for me? i don't worry very much, honestly. not usually, anyway.

As much as I can I try to not dwell on things I can't change or influence in any way. There's kind of tasks everyone has to do and not everyone gets the pleasant ones.
